A special Thank You to the Maine Arts Commission for awarding Launchpad through its COVID Relief Grant program for 2021.
COVID Relief funds provided by the MAC were used exclusively to assist with operational expenses at the Bangor Arts Exchange venue, which also serves as Launchpad’s administrative offices, and a shared home with the Bangor Symphony Orchestra. These funds were crucial in assisting us sustain operations during a difficult time when all of our main revenue sources plummeted to zero. The space, which serves the Greater Bangor and beyond, has become an essential piece of Bangor’s Cultural and Performing Arts Community and was very much in its relative infancy at the time of the closures due to COVID-19. Support funding has helped to ensure that BAE will continue to be a home for the visual and performing arts when we are able to fully reopen to the public.
