Launchpad’s ‘Pop-Up’ Record Store Day is a crawl of pop-up stores across various locations in downtown Bangor, made up entirely of the CDs, Vinyl, Tapes and Merch from Maine-based musicians of various genres. Musician run, “pop-up” record stores will appear on Saturday April 16, 2016 (National Record Store Day) beginning at 10am and run until 3pm. All proceeds from sales stay with the artists.  Musicians of all genres are encouraged to participate in this open to the public event. The registration form is below.

National Record Store Day was conceived in 2007 at a gathering of independent record store owners and employees as a way to celebrate and spread the word about the unique culture surrounding nearly 1400 independently owned record stores in the US and thousands of similar stores internationally.

Musicians may register their bands from Sunday, January 17 – Friday, April 1.  A registration fee of $10 secures musicians a table, reserved space, signage and promotion.
