FAQ

WHEN DO INTERNSHIPS BEGIN AND END?

Internships typically last 3-months or 6-months. Start times can be coordinated with semester calendars, or can be created with custom start dates.

HOW MANY INTERNS ARE ACCEPTED EACH YEAR?

We typically accept 3-4 interns per session depending on our current needs.

ARE THE INTERNSHIPS PAID?

Not typically, but certain interns are eligible for programs that offer compensation. You are trading your time for the opportunity to learn from senior staff and gain experience. Many long-term Launchpad staff members begin their relationship with Launchpad as interns.

WHAT HOURS DO INTERNS WORK?

Launchpad Administrative hours are officially 10-6pm, however some internships require hours at night and on the weekends. Interns set their weekly schedule in advance and are required to work a minimum of 8-10 hours per week.

WHAT KIND OF WORK DO INTERNS DO?

Interns are assigned specific roles and become a key part of daily operations. Selected interns also work as part of an intern team that collaborates on a team project throughout the duration of their internship. They work closely with the Executive Director and staff to guide projects from conception to launch. Your creativity and ability to constructively problem solve will be essential to the success of these projects.
